Warangi Ridge Lodge, a new safari camp in the Serengeti National Park, is set to open on June 1 2025.
Located just 41km from the Seronera airstrip, the camp is part of The Wilderness Collection in Tanzania, and will be the sister lodge to Craters Edge in Ngorongoro, which recently celebrated its first birthday.
The all-inclusive lodge will sit atop a granite cliff, with views over the Serengeti’s savanna, grasslands and kopjes. Facilities will include a library, lounge bar and restaurant as well as a yoga deck, open air gym, spa and infinity pool.
Twenty tented suites will have access to their own private deck and a plunge pool. They will be furnished with king-sized beds, free-standing bathtubs and outdoor showers. Two suites with two bedrooms will be available for families.
Positioned on the migration route, guests can expect to encounter lions, leopards, elephants and cheetahs, along with herds of zebras and wildebeest.
The Wilderness Collection team is dedicated to conservation, particularly in protecting the endangered pangolin from poaching. The camp is situated within the Serengeti Cheetah Project study area and the team regularly contributes to vital population research. The camp also sits within the TANAPA Research Area, supporting ecological monitoring and sustainable park management.
A variety of activities are offered, including day and night game drives; river walks along the Orangi River; specialised bird walks and eco-nature walks. There are also child-friendly activities for guests aged 5-15.
