Selling Travel Connect: Tenerife

Edinburgh’s Royal College of Physicians, the DoubleTree by Hilton Belfast City Ten Square and Bristol Marriott Royal Hotel hosted Tenerife-themed Selling Travel Connect events as September came to a close

Tenerife is perhaps best known for its sunshine and beaches, but its tourism offering extends well beyond the traditional holiday resort. That was the message for agents attending the Selling Travel Connect: Tenerife events, which took place over the last three days of September in Edinburgh, Belfast and Bristol.

Agents heard how Tenerife’s tourism offering includes year-round hiking in the UNESCO Anaga Biosphere Reserve and stargazing in Teide National Park – the location of Spain’s highest mountain. The newly refurbished Altavista Refuge offers guests a place to stay at 3,260 metres above sea level, so is ideally placed for early ascents to the summit of Mount Teide.

The cultural heritage and glamour of the Carnival is another reason to experience Tenerife. Whale-watching, nine Michelin-starred restaurants, traditional gastronomy as well as wine and sports tourism are also reasons to visit. Find out more about the island on Selling Travel’s new Tenerife Hub.

Representatives from Bahía Príncipe Hotels, Coral Hotels, H10 Hotels, Hotel Jardín Tecina y Tecina Golf, Hovima Hotels, Hyatt Ziva Jardin Tropical Tenerife, Meliá Hotels & Resorts, Senda Ecoway, Touring Canarias and Turisbeds met with agents to share their key messages.
