Etihad to conclude codeshare with Virgin Australia

Etihad Airways will conclude its codeshare and bilateral frequent flyer partnership with Virgin Australia.

The termination, which is effective June 1 2025, follows a “divergence in the strategic direction of the respective titles.”

Passengers will no longer be able to book Virgin Australia-operated flights through Etihad’s booking channels.

There will be no changes to itineraries for Etihad passengers with existing bookings that include a Virgin Australia-operated segment.

Members will not earn Guest Miles on Virgin Australia-operated flights from June 1 2025.

Etihad will increase its services to Sydney and Melbourne in 2025.
