Etihad Airways will conclude its codeshare and bilateral frequent flyer partnership with Virgin Australia.
The termination, which is effective June 1 2025, follows a “divergence in the strategic direction of the respective titles.”
Passengers will no longer be able to book Virgin Australia-operated flights through Etihad’s booking channels.
There will be no changes to itineraries for Etihad passengers with existing bookings that include a Virgin Australia-operated segment.
Members will not earn Guest Miles on Virgin Australia-operated flights from June 1 2025.
Etihad will increase its services to Sydney and Melbourne in 2025.
