AE Expeditions opens 2028 Northern Hemisphere season
AE Expeditions has opened its 2028 Northern Hemisphere season for bookings, with 29 Polar, Discovery and Cultural Expeditions aboard purpose-built small ships Douglas Mawson and Sylvia Earle.
The season marks an expansion of the Cultural Expeditions programme beyond the polar regions, with new itineraries across the British Isles, Ireland, the Mediterranean, Europe’s Atlantic coastline and Scandinavia, accompanied by onboard historians, archaeologists, naturalists and local experts.
Highlights include the 11-day Isles of the British Isles, departing London for Dublin on April 19, 2028, from £9,356pp; the 15-day Valletta to Lisbon: Beyond the Icons, from £12,214pp; and the 14-day A Northern Saga, from £11,934pp.
The season also features 16 Polar Expeditions and six Discovery Expeditions across destinations including Svalbard, Greenland, Iceland, Scotland, Norway and Central America.
Savings of up to 25% are available on selected voyages booked and deposited by October 31, 2026.
EXPLORA III welcomes UK travel advisors ahead of naming ceremony
Explora Journeys hosted 34 UK travel advisors aboard EXPLORA III during an exclusive Preview Journey ahead of the ship’s official Naming Ceremony.
The four-night sailing from Civitavecchia to Barcelona, held from July 29 to August 2, brought together UK trade partners and more than 300 international media and travel professionals.
Hosted by Explora Journeys President Anna Nash, the programme included ship tours, a Portofino destination experience, hosted dinners and sales training covering the Explora Experience, wellness and dining, as well as techniques for converting enquiries into bookings.
EXPLORA III is the third ship in the fleet and will sail across Northern Europe, Iceland and Greenland, the US and Canada East Coast, the Caribbean and Central America before heading to Alaska in 2027.
Atlas Ocean Voyages unveils 2028 Europe collection
Atlas Ocean Voyages has launched its Europe 2028 collection, featuring 37 Epicurean and Cultural Expeditions across the Mediterranean and Northern Europe between April and September.
The season expands the line’s presence in the Baltic and marks its return to Egypt and Turkey, while Lavrion in Greece joins the programme as a new embarkation port. Twelve new ports of call have also been added, including Beaulieu-sur-Mer, Fjällbacka, Ystad, Svolvær and Naxos.
Highlights include a seven-night voyage timed around the Monaco Grand Prix, a 10-night Baltic sailing and a 10-night return to Egypt, including Alexandria. Other itineraries feature the Venetian Lagoon, Corinth Canal, Norway’s fjords, the Guadalquivir to Seville and the Garonne to Bordeaux.
The 2028 collection is now open for booking, with an Explorer’s Choice offer providing savings of up to 10% plus a choice of complimentary air credit, hotel stay or enhanced Wi-Fi on selected voyages.
