Discover Egypt has introduced autumn departures combining Cairo and the Grand Egyptian Museum with a seven-night Nile cruise in response to strong visitor demand from the UK.
Egypt welcomed 6.1 million visitors in the first four months of 2026. That represents a 7% increase on the same period in 2025.
Ancient history, year-round sunshine, Nile cruises and world-class cultural attractions combine to attract visitors. Among them is the Grand Egyptian Museum, in Cairo, which officially opened in November 2025.
The tour operator can tailor itineraries that combine Nile or Lake Nasser cruises with city stays in Alexandria, Aswan, Cairo and Luxor, as well as Red Sea resorts such as Dahab, El Gouna, El Quseir, El Sokhna, Hurghada, Marsa Alam, Sharm El Sheikh and Soma Bay.

The 10-night Classic Egypt itinerary includes three nights in Cairo and seven nights cruising the Nile, with flights from Heathrow or Manchester, transfers, hotel accommodation with breakfast in Cairo, plus all meals and excursions on the cruise. Departing on September 25, it is priced from £2,175pp, with additional departures on October 9 and 16 as well as November 13 and 20.
Cairo city breaks are available throughout the year with departures from Luton, Heathrow and Manchester. A special offer, departing on September 20, includes three nights at the Jaz Pyramids Resort with breakfast, private transfers and a private guided tour of the pyramids and Grand Egyptian Museum from £996pp.
