CLIA will host a dedicated Small Ship Cruising Day for the trade on May 7. A series of tailored assets, information and webinars will be made available to help agents increase their knowledge and promote the sector, which includes yacht, ship and coastal cruising, as well as expedition vessels. This follows the recent unveiling of a new River Cruise Day which is being held on April 3.
Riviera Travel has launched six new itineraries for 2026 in its Ocean and Yacht Cruise category, including another voyage to the Arctic. Svalbard, the Dalmatian Coast, and Montenegro all feature.
As well as adding new routes, the team has released new dates for 2026 for: Dubrovnik, Split and Jewels of the Dalmatian Coast; the Dubrovnik and Southern Croatia Yacht Cruise with Bosnia and Herzegovina; Split, Rab and Undiscovered Islands of the North; Zadar and Islands of the North Yacht Cruise with Krka Waterfalls; Split, Zadar and Secrets of the North; and the Split, Hvar and the Delights of Dalmatia cruise.
Silversea has unveiled a limited time offer, which enables guests to enjoy savings of up to £1,000 per suite plus onboard credit. Guests can reserve their door-to-door and port-to-port all-inclusive fares on over 700 voyages with a 15% deposit until May 31, 2025. The offer is combinable with all other active promotions.
Dnata Travel Group UK’s B2B specialist cruising brand, Cruise Plus has added new brands. Aqua Expeditions, American Cruise Line, Hapag Lloyd Cruises, Pandaw River Cruise and Amadeus River Cruise have joined the product portfolio. Cruise Plus now works with a total of 40 cruise partners.
Celestyal Discovery has returned to service following a major refit in Athens over the winter period. Upgrades include 47 additional cabins, with 32 suites and 15 interior Cosmos Cabins. Other upgrades include the addition of the Smoked Olive restaurant which offers complimentary dining with an optional a la carte menu charged at a small fee.
Hurtigruten’s vision to create the world’s most energy-efficient cruise ship is advancing. Its Sea Zero project recently completed a new phase of rigorous testing at SINTEF Ocean’s facilities in Trondheim, Norway. Large battery packs, retractable sails, air lubrication systems, contra-rotating propellers and an energy-optimised hull are among the innovations being evaluated.
Hurtigruten wants to design a ship that can sail without emissions in normal operation on the Norwegian coast from around 2030.
