Avalon Waterways’ is showing its commitment to the trade with a new dedicated agent website area, which offers easy access to incentives, deals, marketing assets, brochures and cruise information.

The operator is also participating in The World Within Reach, a Peaks-period trade incentive running alongside Cosmos Tours and Globus Journeys. Running until March 31, 2026, the campaign gives UK agents the chance to win one of six holidays for two, including flights, with a total prize pot worth more than £20,000.

In addition, Avalon Waterways is offering €100 onboard credit for any booking made before the end of March 2026.

Passenger numbers are up 61% year-on-year during the Peaks booking period, with the cruise line crediting the travel trade as a key driver of this success.

New Australis cruise explores the wonders of Patagonia

Australis has a new seven-night all-inclusive Patagonia cruise, departing on March 29, 2026, which offers clients an expanded way to explore dramatic fjords and hidden corners.

Priced from USD $3,200pp, based on double occupancy, the extended voyage departs from Punta Arenas and finishes in Ushuaia, taking passengers deep into Tierra del Fuego’s wild landscapes.

Highlights of the route include sailing into Ainsworth Bay to witness retreating glaciers; visits to Carlos III Island in the Francisco Coloane Marine Park, an ideal area for humpback whale watching; and exploration of Cape Horn, one of the southernmost points of South America.

Other scenic stops on the itinerary include Wulaia Bay, a site rich in Indigenous history, and opportunities to behold dramatic glacial scenery at Águila Glacier and Garibaldi Glacier, with the ship navigating the narrow waters of the Beagle Channel and De Agostini fjord.

Football’s coming home to MSC ships

Football fans sailing with MSC Cruises this summer will be able to watch every match of the 2026 World Cup live, with fixtures broadcast across the cruise line’s entire fleet.

The tournament, running from June 11 to July 19, will see 48 teams play matches in a tournament ointly hosted by three nations: Canada, Mexico and the United States.

MSC Cruises guests will be able to follow the action live in a variety of onboard venues designed to suit every type of fan, including sports bars, casino bars, poolside LED screens, as well as dedicated lounges and theatres.

In addition to live broadcasts, the cruise line will offer a programme of football-themed activities for guests of all ages, including interactive games, quizzes and family-friendly entertainment.
