British Airways is increasing flights from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi to London Heathrow in October.

From October 27, BA will fly daily from Bahrain, more than doubling its number of flights to London each week. That adds over 9,000 additional seats to the route.

Bahrain’s white sand beaches and world-class restaurants are just part of its appeal. Tours of the Bahrain International Circuit, the venue of the Bahrain Grand Prix, and Al Fateh Grand Mosque count among the island nation’s cultural highlights. The Bahrain National Museum stands next to the National Theatre of Bahrain, in Manama, making for a cultured day out.

The UK flag carrier will operate 12 flights a week from Riyadh to London Heathrow this winter and 14 a week from the summer of 2026. Next summer will also see an increase in flights from Jeddah, up from four to five a week.

Riyadh’s souks and historic architecture offer visitors insights into Saudi Arabian traditions. Attractions such as the Murabba Historical Palace, the National Museum and Al Masmak Palace Museum present opportunities for cultural enrichment. Kingdom Centre Tower presents views over the Saudi capital. Footballing superstar Cristiano Ronaldo plays in the Saudi Pro League for Riyadh-based Al-Nassr FC.

On the Red Sea’s eastern coastline, Jeddah is home to the world’s tallest fountain, the 853-ft King Fahd’s Fountain. The historic Al-Balad district is a popular tourist destination, while several dive centres operate scuba tours.

BA will operate a daily service between Abu Dhabi and London from the winter of 2025. The city’s bold architecture, luxury hotels and shopping malls are among its attractions. The Louvre Abi Dhabi is a key cultural site. The final race of the 2025 Formula 1 season will be at the Yas Marina Circuit and the after-race concerts will headline the likes of Benson Boone, Metallica and Katy Perry.

The expanded schedule supports growing demand across the region. Timings are planned to ensure seamless onward connections via London Heathrow to more than 200 destinations in 65 countries.

A four-cabin configuration is available on select Middle East routes, including First, Club World (business class), World Traveller Plus (premium economy) and World Traveller (economy).
