Cruise update: Inuit-led Arctic excursions created for HX

HX (Hurtigruten Expeditions has partnered with Inuit Elders, local residents and community-born staff on a new Arctic excursion programme.

Launching in summer 2025, the community-led excursions will be offered on HX’s 26-day Northwest Passage sailings, westbound from Greenland to Alaska and eastbound from Alaska to Greenland.

The new line of excursions will debut in Gjøa Haven, Pond Inlet, and Cambridge Bay – communities in the eastern Canadian Arctic that can be visited only during a short summer window.  Mariah Erkloo, an HX Product Planner and Inuk who was born and raised in Pond Inlet, has been a key developer involved in the programme.

Crystal’s new world cruise is a treasure

Bookings for Crystal‘s ‘Treasures of the Tides’ world cruise will open on May 29, 2025. The 150-night journey departs in 2028, featuring 84 destinations across 39 countries on six continents.

Departing round-trip from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on January 11 through June 10, 2028, there is an option to disembark in Barcelona on May 27. Select shore excursions will be curated in partnership with Abercrombie & Kent.

Highlights include first-time calls in Huahine, French Polynesia; Portland, Kangaroo Island, Albany and Geraldton in Australia; along with inaugural visits to Nha Trang, Vietnam and Mangalore, India.

Brand new Caribbean voyages with Star Clippers

Star Clippers will offer brand new seven-night roundtrips from St John’s, Antigua in March 2027, in addition to a new 10-night departure from Oranjested, Aruba.  

On January 27 2027, a new departure from Aruba, priced from £2620pp, as well as three varying itineraries from St John’s, Antigua across four dates in March 2027, priced from £1835pp, will debut.

AE Expeditions expands global offering

AE Expeditions has expanded its 2026 global offering with new small ship voyages along the Rhine, Main and Danube Rivers. The sailings will explore ancient history in UNESCO World Heritage sites, such as The Acropolis in Athens or The Tower of Belem in Lisbon, plus also visit Ireland and Scotland.

Building on the success of its inaugural season, the 2026 season will expand with a total of 14 voyages in the Mediterranean, and an additional five in Europe, plus three in Oceania.

25% discount for trade on Amadeus sailings

Agents can claim a big discount on their own Amadeus River Cruises sailings, under an initiative to help them become more familiar with selling the cruise line’s products.

The offer includes a 25% discount off the full brochure price for themselves as well as the same reduction off the full brochure price for the accompanying second person in the cabin. The concession rate is available on a request basis and is limited to one cabin per sailing and one cabin per agent per cruise season.

The discount covers the cruise with all meals, beer, wine and soft drinks with lunch and dinner, onboard entertainment, use of bicycles, WiFi and port fees. Agents need to cover the cost of their own flights, overseas transfers and additional costs such as excursions.
