United Airlines has been confirmed as a Silver Sponsor for The Travel For Every Body Awards (TFEB) 2026.
The Travel For Every Body Awards raise awareness of the work being done to support travellers with visible or hidden needs. By showcasing the progress that’s being made, these awards drive further change to make travel and tourism more inclusive.
United Airlines says it is committed to accessible travel for those with a range of access needs, including accommodations for mobility, visual and hearing impairments and neurodiverse travellers.
It has introduced industry-first digital tools, such as a feature that helps customers find specific aircraft that accommodate the exact dimensions of their personal power wheelchair.
United is also the first U.S. airline to install Braille interior signage for rows, seat numbers, and lavatories across its mainline fleet.
On the company’s decision to sponsor TFEB in 2026, a spokesperson said: “At United, we believe travel should be accessible to everyone. By sponsoring the Travel For Every Body Awards, we are proud to support and celebrate the organisations and individuals driving meaningful progress towards a more accessible travel experience for all.”
As a Silver Sponsor, United Airlines will sponsor a specific category in the awards and a senior representative from the airline will present the award to the winner at a ceremony in Manchester on October 1.
Entries have now closed for this year’s awards and judging will begin in August.
The expert judging panel includes TV presenter and accessibility advocate Sophie Morgan, Founder Wheelie Good Travel, Jonathan Fletcher, Dr Emma Partlow, CEO, National Centre for Accessible Transport, Paula Hansen, Founder, World Accessible Holidays and Dr Amo Raju, Writer, disability charity specialist and influencer.
Visit New York State will be the Headline Sponsor for this year’s Travel For Every Body Awards, while the Spanish Tourist Office and TUI, which both supported the inaugural awards in 2025, have signed up again as Gold Sponsors.
