A brand-new multi-activity experience is coming to one of Florida’s most popular visitor attractions.
The Gantry at LC-39, described as “an innovative, interactive experience that reimagines the historic Launch Complex 39 gantry”, is slated to open at Kennedy Space Center, located 45 minutes from Orlando, in early 2025.
Accessible via the Kennedy Space Center Bus Tour, The Gantry at LC-39 will provide a 360° view of Kennedy Space Center and its active launch pads, as well as a range of immersive exhibits and experiences.
Its central theme, “Off Earth, For Earth”, explores the vital relationship between technology and nature and underscores NASA’s ongoing mission to protect Earth through space exploration.
The attraction will also showcase LC-39’s location within a national wildlife refuge, highlighting the ultimate blend of humankind’s significant achievements and the beauty of planet Earth.

Key elements include an Earth Information Center (EIC), a hub featuring an immersive theatre show, hyperwall display, and an interactive exhibit gallery. EIC will provide a holistic view of how the planet is changing in ways that affect all life on the planet.
Guests will be able to design and virtually launch rockets at Rocket Build Interactive, experiencing the thrill of space flight from a launch site within view of Kennedy Space Center’s working space ports.
The Launch Viewing Area will offer a prime location to view real rocket launches, complete with a large LED screen that loops media content to enhance the experience.
Test Fire Simulation will enable guests of all ages to feel the power and excitement of a rocket’s ignition as they stand under a full-scale rocket engine as it simulates a static fire test – a roar of sound, light and cooling mist that creates visceral thrills.
The Shaded Courtyard with animal play sculptures will feature climbable sculptures of sea turtles, alligators, and an eagle nest, as well as interpretive graphics that tell the story of Kennedy Space Center’s home within the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge.
“The Gantry at LC-39 is an exciting next step in our mission to inspire and educate the next generation of explorers,” said Therrin Protze, Chief Operating Officer, Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.
“This new attraction brings the stories around NASA’s research to monitor our planet and innovative interactives to offer a deeper connection to the space programme through a unique and dramatic lens. This attraction will excite and educate all ages.”
