TAP Air Portugal, has introduced a limited-time promotional fare for round-trip flights to Los Angeles, presenting a new opportunity for the UK travel trade to build packages for the upcoming seasons.
The carrier has set the lead-in price at £473 inclusive of taxes, for return journeys to the Southern Californian hub, from a number of English and Irish airports. But agents need to hurry- to qualify, bookings must be finalised by July 9, 2025.
The deal allows travel agents to put together a number of varied packages, encompassing different seasons, as it covers flights departing from August 18, 2025, through to March 30, 2026, covering autumn, winter, and early spring.
While Hollywood is a perennial favourite for UK travellers, several recent new openings and developments may reinvigorate tourists curious about Tinseltown.
Universal Studios Hollywood has recently launched two blockbuster new attractions, proving hugely popular among guests: the immersive “Jurassic World – The Ride” and “The Secret Life of Pets: Off the Leash” (perfect for family-oriented travel packages).
And 2026 will see the opening of another hotly anticipated ride. Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift is a high-speed rollercoaster based on the wildly beloved film franchise, currently under construction.
Intriguing developments are also occurring within Los Angeles’s hospitality landscape. In the heart of Hollywood, the Whisky Hotel opened this year. The 132-room, adults-only boutique property offers a spirit-centric experience, including a welcome whiskey shot and a lobby bar with a vast collection of rare vintages, topped by a rooftop restaurant with expansive city views.
Next year’s most exciting accommodation opening may well happen further south. Within the expansive Hollywood Park sports and entertainment district, in Inglewood, preparations are being made for the 2026 debut of the Kali Hotel and Rooftop.
The 13-story, 300-room luxury hotel, part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection, is currently under construction and will be the only hotel directly within the complex, offering immediate access to major city attractions SoFi Stadium and YouTube Theatre.
Ideal for packages featuring major international sporting or concert events held at SoFi, the Kali Hotel will feature a spa, a pool and yoga deck, and multiple dining venues.
