Trends feature: Emerging destinations: Following Albania’s unexpected popularity in 2025, this feature takes a look at what destinations clients should be excited about this year and beyond. Think eastern Europe and west and central Asia; lesser-known Latin American and emerging African hotspots. We examine untapped locales and how agents can maximise their selling power when it comes to novel and on-trend holiday suggestions.

Focus on Greece and its islands: This feature takes a look at the enduring appeal of Greece and its islands, highlighting lesser-known and emerging locations. It will identify the potential for holidays which overlap with shoulder season, slow travel and experiential trends, focusing on both luxury and good value-for-money options.

Ski and winter sports: This feature will focus on new ski spots such as Bulgaria, Norway and Italy, moving beyond traditional destinations. The focus will be on affordability and family friendly resorts and options. There will also be a nod to the endurance of popular favourites in the Alps and across North America.

Luxury rail travel: A look at new and improved routes, sleeper trains and routes which make the journey the main part of the trip as opposed to the destination. The feature will also reexamine the meaning of luxury, going beyond service and plus cabins to focus on how scenic routes and extraordinary experiences onboard add to the first class feeling.

Global hotel hotlist: A round up of what’s new and what’s hot in the world of hotels, with a focus on properties with interesting USPs or trending guest offerings.

Focus on…Festive holidays with traditional winter breaks from markets to lapland visits up against winter sun destinations such as Australia and Asia to see in the festivities in the sunshine.

Trends feature: Wellness diversification: As wellness travel shifts from pampering to “life-extension”, this feature will focus on unique destination-specific offerings, medical tourism and wellness beyond the spa. From Mexico’s indigenous healing retreats, to India’s Himalayan escapes, Ibiza’s rebranding as a wellness hotspot, nature immersion in Canadian Monteverde’s cloud forest and the emergence of South Africa as a big player.

Solo escorted touring in South and Central America:  With a growing number of solo travellers without kids, partners or friends to accompany them, escorted touring is catering more and more to this market. We take a look at trips across Latin America which emphasise bonding, niche shared interest tours, female-only and female-led trips and tours designed for smaller groups to encourage making friends for life.

Responsible travel: With increasing environmental awareness, clients are demanding more ethical practices and experiences from their trips. This feature looks at eco-hotels, slow and immersive travel and opting for tours and destinations that prioritise climate and local-friendly practices.

River cruising in South East Asia: Although ever popular, cruising on Europe’s waterways is giving way to more far-flung rivers. This feature will explore the rise of ships and itineraries in Southeast Asia, exploring what to book and what customers can expect.

Hybrid adventure travel: Hybrid holidays are gaining traction as travellers look to combine different activities in one holiday. This might include activities like golfing, snorkelling, cycling or kayaking; cultural experiences such as a local culinary trail; or wellness activities like forest bathing and wild swimming.
