National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions cuts deposit to boost advance bookings

National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions is reducing its booking deposit to encourage early reservations across its 2026/27 expedition cruise programme.
The limited-time offer lowers the upfront deposit from 15 per cent to 7.5 per cent on all active voyages departing between October 1 2026 and December 31 2027, aiming to make long-term booking commitments more accessible for travellers.
The company said the initiative is to help lower upfront costs while maintaining pricing integrity across its portfolio of expedition itineraries.
Eligible sailings include voyages across Antarctica, Baja California, Central America and the Northwest Passage, with excursions ranging from kayaking among icebergs to wildlife encounters and exploring rainforests.
The reduced deposit applies across all active products within the 2026/27 departure window.

Oceania Cruises opens bookings for 2028 and 2029 sailings

Oceania Cruises has opened bookings for its 2028 and 2029 sailings, with more than 230 itineraries available across its global fleet.
Voyages range from seven to 180 days and include more than 60 overnight port stays. The cruise line said releasing two future seasons simultaneously gives guests and travel advisors more time to plan and book ahead.
Itineraries cover Europe, Asia, Alaska, Australia and New Zealand, the Caribbean, Canada and New England, as well as a series of transoceanic crossings.
Among the highlights, Oceania Riviera will return to Alaska in summer 2028 before operating a series of Asia sailings focused on Japan, including calls at smaller ports such as Kagoshima, Ishigaki and Miyazaki.
This also marks the inaugural world cruise for Oceania Aurelia, which will operate 180-day voyages in 2028 and 2029, sailing from Miami and Los Angeles respectively before ending in New York.
Meanwhile, Oceania Allura will return for a second winter season in the Mediterranean, with sailings across Greece, Turkey, Italy and Spain.
Oceania Sonata, one of the line’s newest vessels, will operate Caribbean itineraries alongside Oceania Vista, including round-trip departures from Miami and Panama Canal sailings.
The cruise line said it will operate more than 80 Mediterranean itineraries across the two seasons, its largest deployment in the region to date.
