Canada ready to blaze and autumn trail

Autumn in Canada sees many regions of the country ablaze with an array of deep tones as the shorter days are brightened by autumn foliage dressed in bright yellows, burnt oranges and fiery reds.

From coast to coast, nature’s seasonal transition transforms a range of diverse landscapes.  

For example, in Québec popular Mont Tremblant is a good viewing spot to see the Laurentian Mountains dressed in their coat of many colours.

The resort has a popular outdoor adventure scene, that include’s Québec’s longest zipline, with Ziptrek, that provides an aerial perspective of the natural hues.

Alternatively, canoe or kayak on Lac Tremblant surrounded by autumnal scenery before unwinding at the Scandinave Spa Mont-Tremblant, where the sounds of rustling leaves create a soothing experience set among the mountainous landscapes and flowing river.

On the west coast, Victoria in British Columbia, which is widely known for its temperate climate and evergreen beauty, has a uniquely  quaint coastal charm in autumn.

From September through to November, the city’s luscious gardenst parks, and tree-lined streets are brushed with storybook hues of yellows, oranges, and deep reds


Beacon Hill Park, with its 200 acres of walking paths and foliage, is a top spot whilst the historic grounds of Butchart Gardens showcase its own impressive colour palette.

Just outside the city, the winding trails of Goldstream Provincial Park come alive with seasonal blooms, and the return of spawning salmon creates a powerful natural spectacle.

Landscapes across Ontario burst into a kaleidoscope of blazing sunset colours every autumn. Begin the journey in Huntsville, Muskoka, where rustic cottages are nestled amongst lakes and a riot of vivid colours. From there, cruise along Highway 60 to Algonquin Provincial Park and take in the view as the road snakes through the mosaic of rustic reds, oranges and golds that frame the horizon.

 
Follow the Algonquin Lookout Trail to the scenic viewpoint and uncover a birds-eye view of Algonquin’s beauty, or head out on a canoe trip to explore the stunning lakes and incredible wildlife that roam the park. 

In Atlantic Canada, the Cabot Trail on Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia is largely free of the summer crowds and perfect for a road trip, with Cape Breton Highlands National Park’s rolling hills and valleys decked out in their autumnal shades. The colours begin to change around late September and are often at their peak during early to mid-October.
