G Adventures hosted 75 travel agents and tour operators aboard its Little Red Ship in Troon, Scotland, to showcase its small-ship expedition product ahead of its upcoming Arctic season, which marks the first time the company has operated in the region since 2019.
The ship recently completed a season in Antarctica. During the showcase, trade partners were given tours by the expedition team and gained insights into life on a polar voyage. This included demonstrations of the onboard camping and kayak setups, as well as the opportunity to see the vessel’s zodiacs.

Stu Darnley, National Sales Manager at G Adventures, said the event was designed to provide agents with the “knowledge, confidence and inspiration” to sell small-ship exploration, noting a high level of interest in the sector.
The showcase also included partners from sister brands Travelsphere and Just You, following the recent addition of expedition cruises to their respective portfolios.

Tom Morgan, Trade Sales Director for Travelsphere and Just You, noted that the product is already proving popular, particularly in introducing solo travellers to the expedition category.
The relaunch of the Arctic programme is part of a wider expansion for G Adventures’ expedition arm, which focuses on providing affordable and educational small-ship voyages to remote destinations.
David McKerry of We Do Travel told Selling Travel: “There is a ship for everyone! But the only way to sell the difference about what’s on offer is to get inside the ship and experience it. The Little Red Ship really made the effort to showcase what makes it different and why less can be more when it comes to expedition – it was a fantastic day of learning!”
Stuart Graham of Travel Counsellors commented: “What an amazing ship. A true expedition vessel taking the G values to the remote Polar regions”
