Wisconsin is looking forward to a boost in its UK visitor numbers after Purely America added two new itineraries to its Midwest tours.
The journeys give agents increased options for holidays that combine outdoor activities, lakeside scenery, food and drink and city breaks, while offering opportunities to build longer fly-drive itineraries across the Midwest.
Wisconsin is home to more than 15,000 lakes, with the state’s Door County in the northeast of the state – which forms a scenic peninsula that juts out between Green Bay to the west and Lake Michigan to the east – offering opportunities for kayaking and exploring its coastline, while the Northwoods – a scenic region located in the north-central and northern part of the state, bordering Michigan’s Upper Peninsula – is known for its forests, trails and outdoor activities.
Milwaukee and thew state capital, Madison, provide a different side of the state, with museums, architecture, food and drink and cultural attractions.
Milwaukee is also home to the Harley-Davidson Museum, which traces the history of the motorcycle manufacturer through its collection of motorcycles, memorabilia and interactive exhibits.
Wonderful Wisconsin is a 14-day road trip starting and ending in Milwaukee. Also featured are Madison; Spring Green, known for its spectacular architecture; Bayfield, the gateway to the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore on Lake Superior; and Green Bay, a small town made famous by the “Packers” American Football team.
Tours of the team’s historic Lambeau Field Stadium Tours are available. Also in Green Bay, the Fox River is great for walking, cycling or relaxing by the water, while the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary has local wildlife and walk through wetlands and wooded trails. The nearby Bay Beach Amusement Park is a historic, city-owned amusement park known for its retro charm and affordability.

Prices start at £1,898pp, based on two adults sharing, for trips from October 2026 to Match 2027, and from £2,399pp for holidays from June-September next year. Included are return flights to Milwaukee, 13 nights’ accommodation and car hire that includes all taxes, fees and breakdown cover.
Also available is A Week in Wisconsin, a seven-day, six-night self-drive itinerary that begins and ends in Milwaukee and also takes in Madison, Wisconsin Dells (known for its waterpark entertainment, natural rock formations and scenic boat tour excursions) and Green Bay.
Prices start from £1,299pp (October 2026-March 2027) and £1,649pp (June-September 2027).
Andrew Bird, Director at Purely America, said: “Over the past few years, we have added exciting new Midwestern destinations and itineraries to match a growing interest to this diverse, affordable and inspiring region.
“The state of Wisconsin is an exceptional holiday destination because it perfectly blends vibrant outdoor adventure with comforting midwestern hospitality. Nature lovers can explore over 15,000 pristine lakes, the dramatic coastal cliffs of Door County, and the scenic trails of the Northwoods, which offer world-class boating, kayaking, and hiking.

“Beyond its landscape, the state boasts a rich culinary culture famous for legendary cheese curds, fresh lake fish fries, and historic craft breweries. Whether you are seeking the thrilling water parks of the Wisconsin Dells, the thriving arts and festival scenes in Milwaukee and Madison, or a quiet lakeside cabin retreat, Wisconsin is the perfect USA getaway for every type of traveller,” added Bird.
The new itineraries can also be combined with neighbouring Midwestern states, giving agents options for longer regional fly-drive holidays and tailor-made trips.
