Virgin Atlantic will ramp up services between London Heathrow and Bengaluru early next year, increasing flights from seven to 11 per week across January, February and March 2026.

India has become the airline’s fastest-growing region outside the United States, with capacity to the country rising 250% since 2019 to more than 500,000 seats a year.

The additional Bengaluru flights complement Virgin Atlantic’s double-daily operations to Delhi and Mumbai and further strengthen its partnership with IndiGo. Customers will gain smoother connections to 33 Indian destinations including Goa, Amritsar and Jaipur.

Bengaluru, widely recognised as India’s Silicon Valley, is one of the country’s largest corporate markets. The boosted schedule aims to enhance links with the UK while improving onward connectivity to major North American cities such as Toronto, Seattle, San Francisco and New York JFK via Virgin Atlantic and joint venture partner Delta Air Lines.

Services will continue to be operated by the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, offering 31 Upper Class, 35 Premium and 192 Economy seats, along with the airline’s signature Upper Class social space.

Juha Jaervinen, Virgin Atlantic’s Chief Commercial Officer, said the move reflects “strong customer demand and our continued commitment to India”, adding that customers can expect more choice and connections across both India and North America.
