TUI releases accessibility guides for 200 hotels

TUI UK has released Detailed Access Guides of the first 200 hotels to support customers with accessibility needs.

The operator has joined forces with accessibility specialist AccessAble, with Detailed Access Guides to the first 200 hotels live at TUI.co.uk or on AccessAble’s website, with a further 200 hotels due to be surveyed in 2024.

AccessAble has worked with over 1,000 disability groups to ensure the Detailed Access Guides can be used by anyone, whatever their access needs may be.

TUI UK&I Director of Customer Experience Sue Bradley said: “TUI takes over six million UK holidaymakers away each year and accessible holiday bookings have grown by 56% since 2022. We want to make travel easy and enjoyable for all our customers, but we know when it comes to planning, it can be a stressful experience for some.

“This can be especially true for those with access needs, who rely on the hotel’s accessibility details being available before booking.  Everyone’s access needs are unique to them and at TUI we know that hotel accessibility goes beyond ramps and lifts. It’s about capturing all those essential details so customers can make an informed decision when choosing the hotel that’s right for them.”
