The hotel group has unveiled a rebrand designed to set it apart from the “sea of sameness” in the Maldives

Sun Siyam has unveiled a brand refresh anchored by the tagline “Truly Maldivian Spirit,” highlighting the group’s position as 100% Maldivian-owned and operated, with 60% local staff.

To reinforce the new positioning, Sun Siyam has introduced 10 signature experiences. These range from personalised pre-arrival greetings and traditional Maldivian welcomes to nightly turn-down surprises, starlit “Cinema Under the Moonlight” cruises, and enhanced honeymoon packages with bespoke touches. Menus have also been refreshed, with 30% now plant-based.

The group has also simplified its portfolio into three clear collections to help agents sell:

  • Luxury Collection – flagship properties such as Sun Siyam Iru Fushi, now adding private pools and butler service.
  • Prive Collection – boutique and adult-centric resorts including Sun Siyam Vilu Reef and Sun Siyam Pasikudah in Sri Lanka.
  • Lifestyle Collection – activity-rich properties such as Siyam World and Sun Siyam Olhuveli, aimed at families and active travellers.

Sun Siyam is launching an online Sun Siyam Academy, offering agents the chance to qualify as certified experts—with two complimentary nights awarded on completion.

Deepak Booneady, CEO of Sun Siyam said: “This isn’t just about a logo. We’re enhancing the guest experience to create emotional connections. Luxury today isn’t about expense, it’s about how it makes you feel.

“Our Maldivian ownership and hospitality are a true USP. Guests instantly feel the authenticity, and agents can now sell that difference with confidence.”
