Summer picnic on offer from Star Clippers

Tall-ship cruise company Star Clippers is encouraging agents to get behind its window displays initiative – and those who do will be in with a chance of winning a team ‘summer picnic party’ worth £250.

Star Clippers’ trade sales team is giving agents the opportunity to decorate their windows ahead of a two-week ‘blitz’ of high street agencies across the UK and the agency with the best display will win a £250 Marks & Spencer voucher to spend on summer picnic items for the team.

Starting July 8, the trade sales team will complete an extensive series of visits to take photos of the displays and give the staff an opportunity to take a lucky dip from the picnic hamper to celebrate the summer season.

Fay McCormack, General Manager of Star Clippers’ UK GSA, said: ‘It is important we maintain and develop our exceptional relationships with the trade, and by getting in front of our valuable partners to reward them for the efforts they make to promote us is top of our list of priorities in 2024”.

Display packs can be requested on and photos can also be emailed to that address, which will automatically be entered into the competition. The winner of the window display competition will be announced on e-blast and social media channels week commencing July 22.

Star Clippers is represented in the UK by General Sales Agent Fred Olsen Travel.

The company operates three of the world’s largest and tallest fully crewed sailing vessels.

Its two smaller ships, Star Flyer and Star Clipper, can take 166 guests, with a crew of 74, while Royal Clipper carries 227 with a crew of 106.
