One of the Maldives leading luxury properties has reopened after being closed for six weeks for a ‘property rejuvenation’.

Changes at the 77- villa St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort include a refreshment of rooms by the installation of new wood, roofs, decks and paint finishes.

The two- and three-bedroom villas are scattered through the island and each offer a plunge pool and private entrance.

Extensions for ALBA beach and all beach villas have been completed and a reef breaker has been installed in the lagoon to create calmer waters for guests staying in overwater villas, recreational water activities, and to aid in reef rejuvenation.

A new bar programme will feature 40 cocktail recipes inspired by New York City’s five neighbourhoods.

From August 3 its Iridium Spa will offer an Ayurveda Monsoon Stay package featuring treatments during the monsoon season. The seven- and 14-day packages will treatments using herbal plants from the Ayurveda garden and treatments such as an anti-ageing caviar facial. Also included in the package are individual wellness consultations, daily group yoga, aqua aerobics, TRX, Tabatha, beach boot camp classes and Ayurvedic sessions such as Abhyanga, Shirodhara and Choornaswedana.

St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort says it is targeting both families and groups looking for a “private destination retreat”.
