A Brighton-based ski specialist is offering discounts on selected holidays for people who make their own travel arrangements to and from the resort.
With nearly 80% of its catered ski chalet holidays now booked for this winter season, Ski Beat is offering savings of around £200 per person for guests for dates where it has fewer flight seats available, giving guests the option to self-drive, travel by train or organise their own flights and transfers.
Discounts for accommodation-only weeks are available until the final departures on April 12, when a week now costs from £639 per person at Chalet Perdrix in La Rosiere, or £843 with return Manchester or Gatwick flights, and transfers.
Departing January 18, a week’s stay in Chalet Cristal in Val d’Isere now costs £999 with independent travel, compared with £1199 with Gatwick or Manchester flights, representing a saving of £339 off the original flight-inclusive package price of £1338.
A week’s catered stay in Chalet Perdrix in La Rosiere, departing on the same date, costs £899 with independent travel, a saving of just over £200 against the flight inclusive price of £1101.
All prices include a chalet host to cook, clean and cater and prepare cooked or continental breakfast, afternoon tea with freshly prepared cakes, and three-course evening meals with wine. Flight inclusive packages also include transfers.
“Our independent travel offers are a cost-effective way for those who want to car share or reduce their carbon footprint and travel by train, to enjoy our high quality, high altitude ski chalet holidays at keener than ever prices,” said Ski Beat Sales and Marketing Director Laura Hazell.
