A new campaign which launches today aims to encourage UK visitors throughout summer

Saint Lucia Tourism Authority (SLTA) unveils its latest marketing campaign today, which is aimed at tempting travellers during the summer months, traditionally a quieter season in terms of UK visitors.

Now an annual promotion, ‘Summer, Saint Lucia Style’ showcases summer holiday packages featured by several UK tour operators, such as Destinology, Kuoni and Tropical Sky.

Dedicated trade packages are available from trade-friendly operators that include Caribtours, IfOnly, Lusso and Gold Medal.

Patricia Charlery-Leon, SLTA Director for UK & Europe said: “Our key message is that Saint Lucia is no longer a traditional winter sun destination but offers a great holiday experience in the summer too with good deals and savings and lots to see and do.

“On the adventure side, there is ziplining, mountain climbing and watersports plus nature experiences including hiking and birdwatching…and our summer events are thriving too with record numbers for the recent Saint Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival and Lucian Carnival now a firm favourite on the carnival programme.”

“A summer holiday in Saint Lucia is versatile thanks to our range of accommodation from luxury all-inclusive resorts to smaller villas and inns.

“It’s easy to get to with direct flights from British Airways and such a broad variety of experiences when you’re there. Some of our hotel partners such as The BodyHoliday and StolenTime run specific themed activities in the summer such as dance, racket sports and family fitness camps.

“We get a lot of families travelling with children of all ages and an increasing number of nature lovers and wellness enthusiasts. Our events calendar attracts groups of friends with the Saint Lucia Carnival in July proving the most popular. We are delighted with the significant savings that our tour operator partners have been able to offer which means that there is great value to be had.”

The summer packages are listed on the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority’s training platform, Saint Lucia Expert (see website below) from where agents can click through to learn more about the destination. Those who register are then eligible to win quarterly prizes and be invited on fam trips.

The first five agents to log bookings on the Saint Lucia Expert training portal from May 21 for travel booked after this date (for travel in 2025) will win a bottle of rum.

The campaign runs throughout trade and consumer media with advertising, e-shots and competitions.
