Thrill-seekers can get their hearts pumping on an off-grid canyoning adventure with Bow Valley Canyon Tours in Banff.

Their signature Ghost Canyon Trip, with dates available in July and August this year, is only accessible by a 4×4 vehicle, which journeys deep into the secluded wilderness.

A full-day excursion offers mountaintop vistas and an exciting canyon experience featuring slides, rappels, and pool jumps – not for the faint-hearted. Although the experience is manageable for beginners looking for a challenge, the daring jumps, slides and surroundings keep it interesting for veteran canyoners too.

Or for those completely new to canyoning, the Heart Creek Canyon tour is a half-day crash course in the basics. Over four hours, learners will traverse six rappels that grow in length before the big (but optional) finale – the rush of a 60 foot waterfall. This training ground is conveniently located just 30 minutes from Banff.
