Qatar promotes ‘World’s Best Value Stopover’

Qatar is promoting itself as a great value stopover option with packages that start from 14 USD per night for a range of four-star hotels.

Transiting passengers to stay up to three nights in Qatar when travelling with Qatar Airways with packages as follows:

  • Standard: choice of 4-star hotels, starting from USD 14
  • Premium: choice of 5-star hotels, staring from USD 20
  • Luxury: choice of 5-star luxury hotels, starting from USD 77

The campaign aims to encourage travellers to enjoy all the state-of-the-art hotels, theme parks, beaches and cultural attractions that opened in advance of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ for visiting fans.

Newly-opened hotels include Raffles Doha and Fairmont Doha in Lusail, Katara Hills LXR Hotels – an array of 15 villas inspired by Scandinavian design that overlook Katara Cultural Village and The Outpost Al-Barari, offering 21 luxury lodges situated in the Inland Sea nature reserve.

Chief Operating Officer of Qatar Tourism, Berthold Trenkel, said: “The World Cup put Qatar on the map and fans from all over had a fantastic time experiencing Qatar’s culture, so we want to bottle up that excitement and offer new travellers a taste of what we can offer.”
