Oceania Cruises will welcome guests aged 18 and older for all new reservations on future voyages. The move to become an adults-only cruise line is in response to guest preferences and has the aim of elevating the onboard ambience.
The policy shift reflects Oceania’s “dedication to providing a relaxed atmosphere of genuine hospitality and meaningful connection”.
The cruise line conducted research among repeat guests, experienced travel partners and new-to-brand guests. The feedback consistently showed that guests choose Oceania Cruises for its serene atmosphere, sophisticated service and unhurried pace, traits that are valued by mature, affluent travellers.
Existing reservations, made before January 7, 2026 and including travellers under the age of 18, will be honoured.
Jason Montague, Chief Luxury Officer of Oceania Cruises, commented: “Our guests have consistently shared that the tranquil environment aboard our ships is one of the primary reasons they return time and time again. By transitioning to an adults-only experience, we are enhancing the very essence of the Oceania Cruises journey – one defined by sophistication, serenity and discovery.”

New Secret Atlas Svalbard and Greenland cruises for 2027

Two new micro-cruises, with itineraries to Scoresby Sund in Greenland and Svalbard, are among Secret Atlas’s new 2027 Arctic summer season programme.
Secret Atlas’s 12-day Svalbard Circumnavigation Micro Cruise has sailings on July 28 and August 15, 2027. For up to 12 guests, and priced from £14,800, the expedition will sail around Svalbard on a route that includes the Austfonna ice cap. Walruses and polar bears are among the wildlife that guests may see.
Also new for 2027 and for up to 12 guests, the 14-day Svalbard and Greenland Summer Micro Cruise is priced from £18,995pp. Sailing on August 8, it includes the world’s largest fjord system, Scoresby Sund, which has icebergs the size of large buildings. Local wildlife includes musk ox, Arctic foxes, Arctic hares, polar bears and narwhals.
Prices include onboard accommodation, full-board meals and beverages, Starlink Wi-Fi, exploratory activities, rubber-soled boots for shore landings, insulation suits and local transfers. International flights are not included.
Departing from Longyearbyen, the world’s northernmost town, the 2027 voyages will be aboard the purpose-built expedition vessels MV Vikingfjord and MV Freya. They feature ensuite cabins, a panoramic lounge, a sauna and an on-deck hot tub.
The small-ship expeditions are designed for maximum exploration and minimal impact. On an expedition micro cruise, guests get to spend more time where it matters most to them: ashore, on the water or exploring remote fjords.
With just 12 passengers, the cruises are ideal for a private family adventure as a charter, for couples and for solo travellers looking to make connections with like-minded explorers.
Michele D’Agostino, Co-Founder of Secret Atlas, said: “Our new 2027 season is built on the belief that ‘small’ means ‘more’ – more flexibility, more shore time and a much smaller environmental footprint.
“With just 12 guests onboard MV Vikingfjord and MV Freya, our new voyages offer access to remote areas inaccessible to the larger cruise ships. It’s high-impact exploration while enjoying the comfort of our purpose-built expedition vessels.”
Scenic and Emerald boost agent rewards programme

A new trade incentive by Scenic Luxury Cruises and Tours and Emerald Cruises and Tours coincides with the start of year wave period, which sees cruise bookings peak.
Travel agents have the opportunity to earn double River Rewards and More loyalty programme points for all new ocean and river cruise bookings made until February 16.
That equates to 200 points per booking for river cruises and 400 points per booking for ocean cruises.
River Rewards and More allows agents to build up points by making bookings across ocean and river cruise itineraries. The points can be exchanged for prizes, including cruises, designer fragrances, vouchers and experience days – such as helicopter flights and afternoon tea.
Agents must send their booking references to rewards@scenic.co.uk before April 15 to claim their points.
For more information about the promotion, agents can contact their local sales manager or email agencysales@scenic.co.uk.
Jonathan Davies, Head of Sales at Scenic Group, said: “Travel agents are at the heart of our success and this new incentive is about giving back to the partners who support our brands every day. By offering double River Rewards & More points, we’re recognising the value agents bring and their loyalty.”
