The first six weeks of the year might just be the perfect time to visit New York City with hotels across the city offering discounted rates to try to fill rooms during their least busy time of the year.
NYC Hotel Week, an initiative of New York City Tourism + Conventions, offers 25% off standard room rates at participating hotels from January 2 through February 9.
More than 120 hotels are participating this year, among them Arlo Williamsburg, The Fifth Avenue Hotel, Lotte New York Palace, New York Marriott Marquis, The Benjamin Royal Sonesta New York (pictured below), New York Hilton, PUBLIC Hotel, Radio Hotel, Renaissance New York Flushing at Tangram, The Renwick Hotel, The Rockaway Hotel, Romer Hell’s Kitchen and the Wythe Hotel.
“Now in its fourth year, our NYC Hotel Week programme offers some of the best rates of the year to travellers and locals alike,” said Nancy Mammana, CMO and Interim CEO of New York City Tourism + Conventions.
“As occupancy levels continue to soar, New York City’s hotel sector is as vibrant as ever, and NYC Hotel Week offers visitors a range of ways to experience it –from luxury stays to boutique experiences – at an incredible value this winter.”
NYC Hotel Week is part of the NYC Winter Outing, NYC Tourism’s ultimate winter value programme that also includes: NYC Restaurant Week, with Prix-fixe menus at participating restaurants; NYC Broadway Week; 2-for-1 tickets to participating Broadway shows; and NYC Must-See Week: 2-for-1 tickets to participating museums, attractions, performing arts and tours.
Reservations open on January 7 for these three programmes, and the offers will run from January 21 through February 9.
In 2023, New York City welcomed more than 62 million travellers, which generated over $74 billion in economic impact and supported over 380,000 leisure and hospitality jobs. The city is on pace to attract nearly 65 million visitors in 2024.
