Just Go! Holidays has added 13 tours as part of a new Heritage and Culture collection for 2023.

Each tour includes visits to architectural sites under the stewardship of the National Trust, English Heritage and Historic Houses, all of which are complimented by special extras, guided tours and more.

Each tour begins at the hotel, with customers making their own way there either by car or train. Coach transfers are provided to and from all excursions and a tour manager is on hand throughout.

The new tours include the five-day Heroes, Spies & Gls – Stories from a Country at War, which features a guided tour of Bentley Priory and its museum, an audio-guided tour of Bletchley Park, a visit to Audley End House (one of the finest Jacobean Houses in England), a bunker experience at RAF Uxbridge, plus a private guided tour of the Imperial War Museum Duxford.

The five-day Northumbria – A Kingdom of Magnificent Castles tour follows a path of ghosts, witches and wizards, discovering many of the region’s castles. Highlights include a private out-of-hours tour of Chillingham Castle, known as the ‘most historic haunted castle in England’. Step back in time and follow in the footsteps of monks at Lindisfarne Priory, built nearly 1,400 years ago, and visit Alnwick Castle and Gardens, featured in both Harry Potter and Downton Abbey.

Music fans can opt for a guided ‘The Beatles’ Childhood Homes’ tour as part of a five-day Beauty and The Beat – Tales from the Mersey River itinerary. A guided rooftop tour of the famous Royal Liver Building offers the chance to enjoy views of the city while a ferry trip on the Mersey offers a different perspective from the water. Other highlights include a guided walking tour of Port Sunlight, a stop at the Casbah Coffee Club – where The Beatles performed some of their first gigs – a scenic drive around famous Beatles’ landmarks and lunch and an introductory talk at Speke Hall, a timber-framed Tudor National Trust property.

Claire Dutton, Trade Sales Manager at Just Go! Holidays commented: “This programme really does offer some amazing experience for agents to promote. There is everything from a visit to the Battle of Britain Bunker, where key decisions were made, or stepping back in time in Northumbria to exploring the most haunted historic castle in England. Or discover Lennon and McCartney’s truly humble beginnings on a visit to their childhood homes in Liverpool.

“These tours offer customers the flexibility of making their own way to the hotel, so agents all around the country can get behind these. As more and more people seek to delve deeper and explore more whilst away, these 13 tours offer a perfect UK option.”
