Two direct flights will operate from the UK to Cuba, starting from May.
The flights will connect Manchester with Holguin, in the east of Cuba, and London Gatwick with Cayo Coco, an island in the north of the country.
The Manchester flight will operate weekly on Fridays, whilst the London flight will operate a weekly service on Sundays. Both flights will begin on May 5.
The flights will be managed commercially by Iron Travel and operationally by TripLatam, a charter flight service.
A spokesperson for the Cuba Tourist Office said: “The new direct flights will make it easier for travellers to enjoy Cuba’s vibrant culture, beautiful beaches and rich history.
“Passengers will be able to enjoy a comfortable and convenient journey between the UK and Cuba, without the need for stopovers.”
Adding: “The new air routes represent an excellent opportunity to promote tourism between the two countries. We are confident that this new direct travel option will be well received by travellers eager to explore the attractions that Cuba has to offer.”
