G Adventures and National Geographic Expeditions have 30 new itineraries, including 24 new National Geographic Journeys with G Adventures and six newly updated National Geographic Family Journeys with G Adventures.
The trips are built around meetings with local people, from Buddhist scholars and winemakers to wildlife specialists, historians and naturalists, rather than sightseeing alone. The aim is to give travellers a deeper understanding of each destination through the people who live in, work in and help protect it.
The six updated Family Journeys are each led by two Expedition Leaders, one focused on keeping children engaged through play and one managing logistics and discovery.
New additions include Junior Explorers Night, that see children take part in guided activities separately from but close to parents, and a Made Together Moment, where families collaborate on a craft such as jewellery making or ceramics. Groups are capped at 22.
New itineraries include an eight-day Wildlife of the Galapagos Islands trip, featuring time with conservationists at the Charles Darwin Research Station, a naturalist-led snorkelling excursion and tree planting as part of local conservation efforts.
An eight-day Best of Northern Thailand itinerary includes a Khantoke dinner with a local family, time with monks at Wat Phra That Doi Suthep following evening chanting, and a local cooking class, alongside visits to Erawan Waterfall and the River Kwai.

A 12-day Southeast Asia Family Journey through Halong Bay and Angkor Wat includes a Phare Circus workshop, noodle making with STREETS International in Hanoi, a homestay in Tra Que Village and a Halong Bay cruise with a spring roll making activity.
An eight-day Highlights of the Loire Valley and Bordeaux trip takes in Château de Chenonceau with a local historian, Château de Cheverny and meetings with winemakers, along with a cruise on the Cher and a visit to Saint-Émilion’s catacombs.
A nine-day Peru Family Journey covers the Amazon and Machu Picchu, including nighttime wildlife walks, ceramic painting with the Cuyo Chico community, a visit to the Parwa community restaurant and a trip to the Cusco Planetarium.
