Korean Air is to launch a non-stop service between Seoul Incheon and Melbourne, giving UK holidaymakers a new option to get to Australia with a free stopover in South Korea.
The service, which will operate three times a week from December 18 through March 14, 2027, is driven by steady growth in travel between South Korea and Australia.
Korean Air will offer a complimentary hotel stopover upon request for all routes from the UK to Seoul (Incheon International Airport) when there is no same-day connection, which applies for the outbound journey to Melbourne.
The route will be served by Boeing 787-9 aircraft on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Flight KE409 departs Seoul Incheon at 08.00 and arrives in Melbourne at 20.30.
The return flight, KE410, departs Melbourne at 22.00 and arrives at Seoul Incheon at 07:35 AM the following day.
For the inbound flight, there is a three-hour 20-minute stopover in Seoul.
Korean Air also operates year-round operations to Sydney and Brisbane.
