Mauritius has announced a further easing of Covid restrictions from July 1.

From tomorrow, the requirement for facemasks will be relaxed. However, it will be mandatory to wear them in public areas such as hospitals, ports, airports and public transport. Tests on arrival for vaccinated and unvaccinated passengers have been removed.

Mauritian DMC Hello Islands has also launched IslandsB2B, a new real time booking platform for agents and tour operators.

IslandsB2B will enable agents to book an array of travel services including hotels, excursions and transfers, with live availability and instant confirmations enabled 24-hours a day. The platform also features XML connectivity enabling operators to connect the platform with their existing systems.

Tour operators interested in connecting the portal to their existing systems should contact the Hello Islands team, while agents can register for instant access at

James Bell, Managing Director of Turquoise Holiday, said: “Mauritius has long been a Turquoise favourite, historically representing over 35% of our business.

“This post-Covid advice will give couples and families alike further certainty and we look forward to seeing the island regain its top spot with our guests.

“Islands don’t come much more perfect than this pocket-sized tropical paradise, with its ruggedly beautiful volcanic peaks and blue lagoons.

“Beyond its beaches, there is so much for guests to do beyond sunbathing, from mountain biking, zip-lining, trekking and dining, so we are delighted to be able to give our clients the confidence again to book this beautiful destination.”

Turquoise offers a seven-night trip to Mauritius, at LUX* Le Morne Resort on an all-inclusive basis, in a Superior Room. Prices start from £2,699pp, including flights and transfers.
