Magari Tours launches trade competition

Magari Tours has launched an incentive for the travel trade.

The escorted tour operator is offering agents the chance to win three Italian produce hampers. To be entered, agents must make a booking by June 30.

Magari’s programme spans Lombardy, Puglia, Umbria, Sicily, Sardinia, Tuscany and Lake Garda. Return flights and hotel stays are included.

Each tour focuses on “smaller, lesser known but charming destinations” and hotels prioritise “food, authenticity and sustainability”.

The six-night ‘Essence of Lombardy Break’ takes travellers to the historic 2023 Capitals of Culture Bergamo and Brescia, as well as food tastings at agritourism farms. Priced from £1795, it departs on October 8 2024 and March 25 2025.

A food-focused getaway calls for ‘Puglia Unwrapped’. Seven nights near Alberobello offer seafood at a harbourfront eatery in Trani and visits to see mozzarella and focaccia making. Departing on October 16 2024, prices start from £1995pp.

The ‘Lake Garda Like a Local’ tour explores wineries and the quaint lakeside town of Salo. Priced from £1745pp, it departs from October 5 2024 and April 2 2025.

Tony Flanagan, Director of Sales and Product, said: “Feedback from agents who have received our new brochure and from those who went on the recent fam trip to Lombardy has been very positive and bookings are now starting to come in.

“I am delighted to say our Sardinia tour has sold out and I hope that this incentive will help further boost sales.”
