LUSSO’s expanded North America progamme covers 124 brochure pages and features new inclusions for Oregon and a Ranches & Resorts section, Sarah Gibbons, Senior Product Manager, USA, Bermuda & Mexico, tells Steve Hartridge
Provide some background on the history of LUSSO and how you have become a U.S. specialist.
Lusso launched in 2010 as the UK’s first specialist tour operator selling luxury holidays exclusively through independent travel agents.
Our team of USA specialists work in partnership with travel agents to help them plan the perfect holiday.
Our travel advisors are at the heart of all we do, specialists with most having over 25 years’ experience within the travel industry. They have journeyed extensively across America and regularly return to the regions and properties within our portfolio, meaning you can be assured of first-hand, honest and up-to-date advice.
Tell us about LUSSO’S newly launched USA & Canada brochure
Our new expanded brochure runs to 124 pages. We cover much of the West, from California, Arizona, Las Vegas and Utah to Oregon, Seattle, Montana, Wyoming and South Dakota. Then we have states from Florida, Georgia and South Carolina plus the Deep South region up to New England and cities including New York, Washington DC and Chicago.
What is new in the programme for 2026/2027?
We have added Oregon, by including an itinerary which takes in striking natural beauty, coastal drives and the wine-producing Willamette Valley. Also new is a Ranches & Resorts section, which features stunning properties in Montana, Wyoming and South Dakota.
Which U.S. destinations are in demand and are you seeing any “emerging” destinations, regions cities, holiday themes or road trips that are rising in popularity?
Florida is our top-selling state, followed closely by California multi-centre itineraries. Road trips through the Deep South continue to be popular as people are keen to take in the music and history of this region.
How do you gauge the level of interest (and bookings) in the USA and how does this compare to the similar period last year?
The USA continues to be one of our best performing destinations and we are seeing a good year-on-year increase in bookings versus this time last year.
Have you noticed any increase of enquiries for major events this year in the U.S., such as the World Cup?
Yes, we are seeing enquiries and bookings around the World Cup, with clients who have already secured tickets themselves asking us to arrange their accommodation, plus itineraries to explore further afield, after the matches have taken place.

Could you provide a couple of examples of sample itineraries that you would like agents to consider.
All of Lusso’s holidays are bespoke and built according to clients’ requirements.
On our website lussotravel.com agents will find examples of Lusso multi-centre itineraries, with pricing.
Two popular self-drive tours are the 14-day Boston, Boats and Beaches trip, lussotravel.com/itineraries/boston-boats-beaches-1 and the 13-day multi-centre Rhythm of the Deep South itinerary, lussotravel.com/itineraries/rhythm-of-the-deep-south
What do you have planned for travel agents in 2026 and who should they contact if they want any further information on LUSSO?
As usual, we have a full year’s schedule of agent events planned for 2026.
Our Sales team will be inviting agents personally to attend these.
