Lindos Grand, Rhodes, Greece

The background

Located a short drive from the white-washed village of Lindos, the five-star Lindos Grand Resort & Spa opened in 2021 as an adults-only hotel.

One of five properties across Rhodes under the family-owned Lindos Hotels brand, the beachfront hotel has 189 rooms, most with private pools, that slope down towards Vlycha Bay allowing for sprawling views of the ocean.

All Lindos Hotels were unaffected by the wildfires of summer 2023 and the brand has started a new initiative that for every booking made they will plant a tree in the affected areas.

The check-in

The first wow moment comes as you enter the reception area and are greeted by unobstructed views of the infinity pool and ocean beyond. The entire property is built with space in mind, something that is evident in all communal spaces and the rooms themselves.

I am offered a welcome beverage and enjoy the view from the ultra-modern reception area, complete with white marble finishes, floor to ceiling windows and inviting sofas. I am then ushered back out of the door and onto a golf buggy which makes light work of the sloping complex.

The room

The room is split into a communal seating area which is handy for storing luggage, whilst the rest of the space opens out into a bedroom framed by floor to ceiling windows with sliding doors that lead out to a private terrace with wrap-around private pool.

The room has a soft grey stone and wooden colour pallet, complete with modern furnishings and luxurious linens and amenities including a coffee machine, 43-inch TV and rain shower. A complimentary bottle of wine is a nice added touch.

The star of the show is the sizeable private pool and terrace which looks out across Vylcha Bay. Watching the sunrise after a morning dip from the deep cushioned sun loungers is a personal highlight.

The Facilities

The impressive on-site Evridiki spa invites calm and serenity with an indoor pool and Jacuzzi, expansive relaxation area, sauna and hamman as well as multiple treatment rooms that offer massages, body wraps, aromatherapy and reflexology.

There is also a well-equipped gym with the same spectacular sea view, plus yoga and aqua aerobics classes on offer.

The hotel exceeds itself when it comes to dining options. With five restaurants to choose from, guests have the option of Greek signature dishes, Italian classics and Asian dishes, including a fantastic sushi bar.

The Japanese Yume Mou omakase sushi experience is a must that should be recommended to clients visiting Lindos, whether they are staying at the resort or not! The three-walled restaurant is headed by chef Stavros Manousakis alongside his creative and talented sous chefs. Stavros, who studied the art of sushi making in Japan, puts on a show from finely slicing delicate white fish, to smoking giant prawns. The outcome is an array of visually appealing dishes that delight the senses.

Another dining highlight is Thalatta Fine Dining restaurant which boasts a romantic rooftop setting. Greek favourites take on a modern twist and are paired with local wines.

The verdict

The hotel brings a touch of luxury and elegance to a destination that has been long associated with family-friendly all-inclusives. It is a great option for couples looking to indulge in some good food and relaxation but still want to be close enough to the hustle and bustle of Lindos town. General Manager Georgios Chatziemmanouil works hard to make each guests stay special.
