Limited time Rocky Mountaineer route hits new highs

Available for two months in summer 2026, the route will offer access to two of Alberta’s best-loved destinations

Iconic Canadian train company the Rocky Mountaineer will introduce its new ‘Passage to the Peaks’ route for the 2026 World Cup.

The limited time route will operate in June and July 2026 between Banff/Lake Louise and Jasper, and can be done either east or westbound.

The experience will traverse the highlights of the Canadian Rockies, including evergreen forests, glacial lakes, and mountain ranges, and is the only route that doesn’t travel to the West Coast.

Beginning and ending in the mountain towns of Banff and Jasper, all packages feature two nights onboard the train, between one and nine-nights in a hotel, and activities along the way.
