Latin Routes helps grads break into travel industry

Latin Routes has hired three new recruits following the launch of its Trainee Programme aimed at those with little or no experience who want to get into the travel industry.

It is open to university graduates, but is also open to other industry staff, including travel agents, looking for a new opportunity.

The trainees have now completed their month-long training which has included travel agent visits.

Jess Dennison, Co-Founder & Head of Trade Relations said: “We’re thrilled that our Trainee Programme was well received upon its launch and that we were able to bring in three graduates and offer them their first roles within the travel industry.

“After a month of intensive classroom-based training, they’ve been out to visit several agents including Swords Travel, to better understand how travel agents work. We feel this is invaluable experience in relationship building and networking as well as gaining a wider understanding of how our trade partners operate.”

Julia Ross, Latin Routes Travel Specialist Trainee said: “Mark and the guys at Swords Travel were brilliant. As someone who is new to the industry it was a great opportunity to hear from the team at Swords about how travel agents can work with us to create memorable holidays for clients and on the importance of building a relationship with the agents we work with.”
