LATAM to debut new Peru flight this week

LATAM is set to become the first airline to offer a direct link from London Heathrow to Lima, Peru, this Friday.

The airline will offer five weekly flights (Monday-Wednesday, Fridays and Sundays) starting December 1 2023.

The 12-hour flights will be serviced by Boeing 789 aircraft, with a capacity for 300 passengers: 30 passengers in Premium Business and 270 in Economy. 

The direct Lima – London route was previously operated by British Airways from May 2016 until March 2020 due to the coronavirus outbreak. This route ceased operations and was never resumed regularly.

LATAM Airlines Peru will become the first Peruvian airline to fly directly to London and signifies the recovery of a previously served market with an increase in air capacity (more seats and more frequencies) to and from Europe.
