Kerzner is to expand its offering in the Caribbean with the signing of a new One&Only resort in Antigua.
Slated to open in 2027, the resort will be located at Half Moon Bay, on the southeast side of the island.
The 132-acre site overlooks a semi-circular beach, adjacent to a protected national park. Inspiration for the design will be taken from Antigua’s storied past and rich history.
Unique experiences will be created to allow guests to experience the very best of what the island has to offer, encompassing nature, wildlife, cuisine and culture.
“This is a significant moment for the considered growth of the One&Only portfolio,” commented Philippe Zuber, Chief Executive Officer for Kerzner International. “we have been searching for a location in this region for a long time, and we have now found a destination that not only meets, but exceeds our vision for creating one-off resorts and experiences.”
Hon. Gaston Browne, Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda said: “We welcome and eagerly anticipate the One&Only resort at Half Moon Bay, which promises to be a marquee hospitality project in the Caribbean and the flagship of Antiguan and Barbudan tourism product.”
The upcoming opening in Antigua joins a number of new resorts for One&Only, including One&Only One Za’abeel in Dubai UAE (opening January 2024), One&Only Kéa Island in Greece (opening spring 2024), and One&Only Moonlight Basin in Big Sky Montana, United States.
