Just Go! Holidays has added a new Christmas cruise on the Rhine to its festive programme this winter.
The eight-day ‘A Christmas Cruise on the Rhine’, onboard Amadeus Cara, includes five days of cruising through the heart of Germany, plus a pre-night in Koblenz and a post-cruise night in Cologne.
Christmas Eve will be spent in Speyer, with a walking tour of a town founded by the ancient Romans on the northeast frontiers of their Empire and one of Germany’s oldest cities, with the chance to visit the city’s Christmas Market.
A traditional Christmas dinner and party takes place on board and there is an optional mass at Speyer Cathedral.
Christmas morning will be marked by sailing towards Strasbourg, arriving in time for an afternoon of exploring, and Boxing Day will be spent in Mainz, finishing with a special festive Gala Dinner onboard that evening before the ship cruises toward Cologne.
This departure will be fully accompanied by a dedicated cruise escort and the three included excursions are organised exclusively for Just Go! Holidays customers.

‘A Christmas Cruise on the Rhine’ departs on December 22 and costs from £2,199pp, based on two sharing. The deal includes return coach travel from selected pick-up points around England with ferry crossings, a five-night cruise with breakfast, lunch and dinner plus selected drinks between 18.00 and midnight, guided walking tour excursions in Speyer, Mainz and Cologne and one night in Koblenz and Cologne with breakfast and dinner.
