Jasper debuts new product for 2025

New product includes an icewalk, Indigenous helicopter ride, and new distillery

A range of new experiences and tours are available to book in Jasper, which has made a fantastic recovery six months on from the fires which impacted the popular snow sports town.

Sundog Tours is offering new small group tours which explore the impact of the recent wildfires.

The Maligne Valley and Pleckaitis Canyon Icewalk takes walkers on a trek through areas of the park which were impacted. The guide will share insights into the ecology of fire, the rebirth of the landscape, and its role in shaping the natural environment. There are also scenic stops at viewpoints like Medicine Lake, with a walk on ice at the hidden Pleckaitis Canyon while learning about its history and ecosystem.

Keen photographers may prefer the Sunrise Wildlife and Ecology of a Wildfire Tour, with the conditions in the early hours ideal for capturing the perfect shots before the hustle and bustle of the daytime begins.

A new Indigenous helicopter tour with Jasper Hinton Air lifts off into the mountains for an hour’s flight over Roche Miette, Snaring River, Moberly Homestead, Snake Indian River Falls, Solomon Peak and River. Accompanied by guide Lauren Moberly, a local Rocky Mountain Cree woman and member of the Aseniwuche Winewak Nation of Canada, she will recount stories from these significant sites.

In downtown Jasper, travellers can climb an artificial ice wall in a safe, accessible and fun way. Professional guides are on hand to support climbers of all levels while they scale the tower to the backdrop of the Canadian Rockies.

For theatre and storytelling fans, Jasper Theatre Productions has new products that will fit the bill. Its Jasper Local Stories journey allows guests to connect with the community through tales from a local giving their unique perspective. Or there’s the From Jasper with Love show, which attracts crowds year-round, offering a lively introduction to Jasper.

To round off a day of sightseeing, take a tipple at The Maligne Range, a new malt whiskey distillery. Sip the amber liquid alongside brunch, lunch or dinner in its restaurant.
