Jamaica to host Caribbean Travel Marketplace in 2024

Jamaica will act as the host country for the Caribbean Travel Marketplace in 2024 with buyers and suppliers heading to Montego Bay for the annual event.

The news was announced this week at the current Caribbean Travel Marketplace, which is being held in Barbados for the first time.

Jamaica’s  Tourism Minister, The Honourable Edmund Barlett, said that the event would mark Jamaica’s “signature state of recovery” and promised that delegates would “experience the best of what the destination has to offer”.

A main focus of the event will be sustainability and resilience, tourism investment and tourism trade.

Visitor numbers in 2023 to the Caribbean island have increased 74% over 2022 with the average length of stay eight nights.

Jamaica last hosted the event five years ago.
