Intrepid agents can land big trip discounts in September

Prizes and money off their own trips will be available to agents in the lead up to National Travel Agent Day

Intrepid Travel is gearing up for a week-long celebration in the lead up to National Travel Agent Day (NTAD) on Friday September 5.

Celebrating its fifth anniversary, NTAD was established by Intrepid in 2020 during the pandemic to recognise and celebrate the vital role travel agents play in the industry.

In the lead-up to this year’s NTAD, agents can expect daily giveaways, including a Sunday roast lunch token, gift vouchers, and a free Intrepid trip for one lucky winner.

Additionally, Intrepid teams will be conducting in-store visits across the country to celebrate top-performing agents and deliver the tour operator’s new mini brochure, some of which will include a golden ticket, offering a taste of what to expect on an Intrepid tour through exclusive UK Intrepid ‘experience days’.

Intrepid has increased its agent discount to 60% off for agents and 40% off for companions for bookings made in September for travel in 2025 and 2026. Agents will also receive £50 for every Intrepid Premium booking made that month.

Carrie Grant, Head of Trade Partnerships at Intrepid, said: “Travel agents are the backbone of Intrepid’s success and of the travel industry as a whole. We’re committed to showing our appreciation for their dedication, and we hope our support of National Travel Agent Day serves as a meaningful celebration of their hard work and contributions.

“We’ll be revealing details about two trips that can be won over the course of NTAD week, which are to core Intrepid destinations.

“Over the next year, we’ll be continuing to support agents through hosting fam trips, giving discounts to agents so they can experience their own Intrepid holiday, delivering training days and events, supporting with industry exclusives and incentives, and supporting agents at conferences and trade shows.”

“We’d love to see other operators get involved with NTAD and learn about the incredible things they’re doing to support agents.”

This year also marks the first anniversary of Intrepid’s dedicated Agent Hub — a one-stop shop for training on trip styles and themes, along with updates on campaigns, sales, and promotions. Since its launch, more than 336 agents have signed up.
