Taiwan tempts with training incentive
by Laura Gelder
The Taiwan Tourism Bureau is offering agents the chance to win £100 in Love2Shop vouchers for completing its training course and has a half-price deal on rail too.
Between now and December 31, any travel agent that completes the Taiwan Tourism Bureau’s online training course (https://www.onlinetraveltraining.com/free-courses/providers/taiwan) will be entered into a prize draw to win £100 of Love2Shop vouchers and a bag of Taiwanese goodies.
The tourist board has also launched a buy-one-get-one-free offer on High Speed Rail (HSR) tickets for British tourists visiting Taiwan between now and March 31.
Tickets can be purchased for one-way travel to any station on the HSR network between Taichung in central Taiwan and Kaohsiung in the south, which includes the historic capital of Tainan and Chiayi city, the starting point of the Alishan Forest Railway.
Tickets need to be purchased by January 31 at thsrc.kkday.red-digital.com/hant where visitors will be asked to fill in passport and flight details to get a unique promo code for their travel companion.
They vary in price depending on the journey selected, with multiple options available, but a one-way ticket from Taipei starts from TWD560 (£14).
