CMV looks to the Emerald Isle in 2021
by Steve Hartridge
Cruise & Maritime Voyages (CMV) is introducing a new Round Ireland itinerary in 2021.
The seven-night cruise on board Marco Polo sails from Bristol Avonmouth on August 12, with fares from £595pp.
Marco Polo will call at Cobh, Bantry, Galway, Killybegs and Belfast before returning to Bristol.
Cobh is the gateway to Cork and Blarney Castle, with its much-kissed stone, while Bantry Bay offers excursion opportunities to County Kerry and the Beara Peninsula. Galway is the European capital of culture for 2020 and the front door to Connemara National Park, while Killybegs claims Ireland's finest natural harbour and is also a starting point for a tour of the north-west.
Belfast, which has had as impressive a ‘makeover’ of any UK city in recent times, has several attractions including the Titanic Quarter, with its museum and hotel, Crumlin Road Gaol and Botanic Gardens.
Marco Polo will also sail from Bristol to Ireland on August 3 2021, on a 16-night Fjordland & Round Ireland itinerary, with fares from £1209pp.
Liverpool will be the departure port for Marco Polo on June 18 2021, when she leaves for a 24-night Greenland and Ireland itinerary, with fares available from £1799pp.
The above prices are based on two people sharing a twin inner-cabin and include full- board cuisine, afternoon teas, late-night snacks, Captain’s Cocktail Party, complimentary tea and coffee, big show entertainment, cabarets and classical interludes, daytime activities and more.
