A&K’s Life-Changing Year of Travel campaign

by Laura Gelder

Luxury tour operator Abercrombie & Kent has launched a collection of experiences designed to immerse travellers in a variety of destinations, cultures and ways of life.

The Life-Changing Year of Travel campaign sees A&K’s travel experiences grouped into 12 different themes including Make a Difference, Walk on the Wild Side, Tantalise Your Tastebuds and Celebrate.

'Make a Difference' includes Conservation in South Australia - a stay at former-sheep-station-turned-stylish homestead Arkaba to take part in its conservation programme monitoring the rare wildlife and landscape; or Restore Art In Italy With An Expert, where guests can take part in a restoration project in Florence, joining art restorers at the Giambologna Chapel.

Under the 'Challenge Yourself' theme options include Cowboy College in Arizona, a 12 night tailor-made family holiday where guets can learn how to ride Western style, lasso and drive horse carts; or Learn Muay Thai in Thailand, which offers Muay Thai lessons with one of Bangkok’s revered champions at The Siam Hotel’s on-site boxing ring.

There's also the chance to meet a Brazilian tribe under the 'Be the First, Be the Last' banner; oyster picking in Ecuador with the 'Tantalise Your Tastebuds'-themed holiday selection; VIP access to Rio Carnival on a 'Celebrate' trip; and gorilla trekking in Rwanda if you book a 'Walk on the Wild Side' itinerary.
