AEGEAN expands summer flights to Greece
by Jessica Pook
AEGEAN is introducing direct flights to five Greek destinations for summer 2021.
The airline will service four routes between the UK and the Greek islands of Corfu, Crete, Mykonos and Santorini as well as one new mainland destination, Thessaloniki.
The flights will operate from May to October with passengers able to fly from Gatwick to Corfu four times weekly, Heathrow to Heraklion daily, and up to three times a week from Heathrow to Thessaloniki and Santorini. Three weekly flights from Heathrow to Mykonos will start on June 19 and operate through to September 18, 2021.
AEGEAN says its new flights mirror the trend for visitors to stay longer at their chosen destination instead of choosing to combinations of multiple Greek destinations, which was traditional practice.
The airline is offering promotional fares from London to Thessaloniki, Corfu, Heraklion, Mykonos and Santorini, with prices starting from £44 one-way to Corfu. The promotion is valid for travel from May 17 to October 31, 2021 and expires on April 5, 2021.
AEGEAN continues to offer up to three daily direct flights from Heathrow to Athens as well as twice-weekly direct services to Athens from Edinburgh, Manchester (up to three weekly) and Dublin (twice weekly) throughout the summer season.
