Icelandair launches new U.S. flights

The service to a popular American city will begin later this year.

Icelandair has introduced new flights to Miami in Florida.

The service will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from October 25, 2025 until March 2026.

Icelandair’s new Airbus A321LR will service the eight-hour flight.

Miami has been added as the airline’s second gateway and is its 19th destination in North America.

Bogi Nils Bogason, President and CEO of Icelandair, said: “We are thrilled to be opening a new gateway from Europe to sunny Florida via Iceland and from Miami to Iceland and beyond.

“With the new long-range and fuel-efficient Airbus aircraft we are able to add new and exciting destinations and Miami is a great addition. Miami will fit well into our route network, with convenient connections via Iceland to our 34 destinations in Europe. Welcome aboard Miami!”
