Following its most successful Antarctica season to date, HX Expeditions is offering travel partners the opportunity to experience the region first-hand on a fam trip later this year.

One travel agent will win a place on a 12-day Highlights of Antarctica itinerary aboard one of the company’s hybrid ships, with return flights from London Heathrow included.

The trip will include zodiac excursions, guided landings and onboard science programs.

To be eligible, agents must book a suite on any Antarctica sailing departing between October 1, 2026 and March 31, 2027. Bookings deposited between March 24 and April 30, 2026 will be entered into the draw.

The 2025/26 season saw a 5% global increase in suite bookings, with some regions experiencing growth of up to 80%.

Scientific engagement remained a focus throughout the season. Guests contributed to global research through 1,801 guest scientist cruise nights, 1,111 Happywhale submissions and 2,250 eBird checklists.

The company also recorded 27,869 ‘Green Stay’ nights, where guests opted out of room servicing to raise funds for sustainability initiatives. In total, guests helped raise €124,882 for the HX Expeditions Foundation to support conservation, plastic pollution mitigation and community projects.

Operational updates for the season included refined logistics between Buenos Aires and Ushuaia. These featured later flight departures, upgraded charter flights and enhanced service for suite guests, who received exclusive access to facilities at the Arakur Ushuaia Resort and Spa and private lounge access at Ushuaia Airport.

All voyages continue to operate under IAATO regulations, including strict biosecurity measures, limited shore landings and wildlife distancing protocols to protect the Antarctic ecosystem.

Gebhard Rainer, CEO at HX Expeditions, said: “This has been an extraordinary season with record guest numbers, unprecedented scientific engagement, and responsible travel practices. HX Expeditions remains committed to ensuring Antarctica is preserved for future generations while showing that high-quality expedition travel and rigorous environmental stewardship go hand in hand.”
